Receipe: Fish stew in wine sauce

Fish Stew in Wine Sauce

Ingredients:

2 lbs. Fish fillets cut into 1” chunks (Stripers, Crappie, Bluegill or any fish)
1 medium to large sweet onion chopped course
½ stick butter
½ medium yellow pepper chopped course
½ medium red pepper chopped course
1 stalk celery chopped course
½ cup white wine (not cooking wine)
1 tbsp flour
1 19 oz can New England clam chowder
1 4 oz can sliced mushrooms drained
6.5 oz can crabmeat, shrimp, or clams (optional)
1 tbsp parsley flakes (optional)
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

1. In a 3 quart microwave save bowl, cook onion and butter together for 4 minutes. Uncovered. Stir
2. Add fish and either crabmeat, clams, or shrimp (optional) and cook for 4 minutes. Uncovered. Stir
3. Season with salt & pepper. Add peppers, celery and wine. Cover with lid and cook for 4 more minutes. Stir
4. Add mushrooms, flour, parsley flakes (optional) and clam chowder. Cover with lid and cook for 4 more minutes. Stir
5. Cook additional 4 minutes covered. Stir

Total cooking time: 20 minutes on high setting in microwave. Not only is this a colorful dish, it is so delicious that you won’t believe the taste. A must try receipe.
