Thought I would share a little info. There seems to be a bunch of break in and it is being played down by the local powers to be. I was at one quote on Missionary Ridge where a guy had had a break in a couple days before. I gave him the quote and he was going to think about it. He called me back three hours later and said how fast can you guys get this in. emoScratch I told him we could to it in a couple days and asked what happened to thinking about it. He told me apparently after we left someone broke in and stole some more stuff. emoEek We had left the property at noon, by three they had broke in again. emoMad He now has a system and cameras. He told me that the police had told him that there had not been any issues lately in his area. emoEek I told him I hated to tell him but two weeks ago a lady no more then a few hundred yards down had been broke into. I know cause her neighbor had me put an alarm in his home and told me all about it. emoConfused

I also went to Hixon and was doing a quote. The guy mentioned that he had just recently been broke into and stole his guns. Made the comment how he always thought he would shoot first and ask questions later. He was working, his wife was working and his kids at school. Can't do anything about it when he is not home. Came right in through a front window. Got his guns, a TV and their computer. We do his install today. Just woods across the street and no neighbor on one side.

Then finally had another one where the crooks had to know them. They had an alarm but no motion. They had some pets and just put in contacts and glass breaks. These guys were slick. They somehow tooks some glass cutters, cut out a big picture window and without breaking it or opening it just picked the glass out of the frame after cutting it and got in while the alarm was on! emoEek They had to have known they did not have a motion. Went in and out the window they had cut open. That is the first time I have seen that happen since doing this a couple years ago.

I think there is a little politicing going on in our area cause you just don't hear that much about it. Maybe with the new Volkswagon plant and potential new businesses following them into the area they are downplaying it. emoGeezer

If someone would like to know about alarms for your business or home let me know. It does not cost anything to get a quote or have me come by to discuss it. Just PM me or give me a call.

Cool. As long as it wasn't with that big company that has the ads on TV. I used to sell and work for a private company in Jasper and firmly believe in the independent companies. The kind that will work with a client and build a system that is about the client and not about a package being pushed by a corporation. In my time with the company in Jasper I saw so many folks flat out done wrong by that dirty three letter company.

And even though I don't sell anymore I'll tell any of you out there that don't have a system you're nuts if you don't get one. No way I'd leave my house without the alarm on. And I've got mine wired up like Ft. Knox. Every door, window, motion, glass break, smoke, a panic remote for the wife....and a son that's a very good shot! If you don't have an alarm you should get one....yesterday.

Just going to throw a unpaid opinion of Action Alarms. Last June, my wife & I decided it was time to look in to an alarm system. I call Jmax, we set up a time to discuss it, signed up & in a couple days, I am fully alarmed up. My wife has set it off a couple times by accident getting use to having the system. The phone rings immediately. Really before you can shut it off & get to your home phone. I'm very pleases with the service & I get a discount on my home owners insurance.

With an many folks out of work, good people can turn bad to feed their families. And I would be willing to help out all I can as I am blessed to still be working. But, I despise a thief. I can help feed them as I am sure most others on this forum would by supplying them with an abundance of fish to eat.

Anyway, great company & that rotten salesman is an ok guy as well. Couldn't help it Jim. Call him folks, tis the season to be broken in to. Carry a gun (legal) & protect your family & the things you have worked your tails off for.

Both my wife & I carry a 45 loaded with silver tim hallow points & most of the time have a 18-1/2" Remington 870 loaded with 3" Magnums in the vehicle. Did I say my vehicle is covered with OnStar?

Thanks there Joe, it was a pleasure meeting you and the better half. ;) It has been great to meet several members through alarm quotes off this forum and we have had quite a few come on with us. emoThumbsup We can also take over a lot of the systems from other alarm companies with no or very little additional expense. The larger alarm companies in our area charge anywhere from $29.95 up into the $50s per month for monitoring. We charge as low as $15 for a landline up to $30 for a cell unit. For business we offer openings and closing tracking as well. We do burgs, fire, flood, sound, motion, camera....ex, just about anything needed. emoGeezer Jmax

No place is immuned to crime. No person no matter where they are is completely safe from criminals. Some neighborhoods are better than others but criminals are creatures of opportunity and NOT LOCATION.

An alarm system if nothing else gives peace of mind. It may not stop the burgulary and it may not get the cops there in time. One thing that a security system will do everytime is that it will prevent you or your loved ones from walking in on a burgulary in progress!

I can also speak for this company, not as an employee but a customer. Jim had our warehouse and offices switched over to Action Alarm at the end of last summer, not only has it saved us on the monthly bill but the few times our guys have set the alarm off by accident they are on top of it. + 1 on Action Alarms and Jim.

just had my truck broke into this past Friday morning....in my driveway. Be on the lookout for anyone trying to sell any salvage equipment (Honda 3 in. pump and Honda generator) The guy even stole one of my red TowBoatUS PFD. That won't be to hard to figure out if you see anyone fishing with that on.
