Hey gang, finally getting around to putting a recessed tray and wondering what y’all think is the best one out there for the Fortrex pedal? Looking at the comfort troll square metal one and the EZ-Troll poly one ,give me your thoughts or any other ideas that have worked for you,Thanks Taylor

I can't tell you which is better for the Fortrex but I can tell you it is the best thing I ever did on my boat. I was getting a lot of knee pain balancing on 1 leg all day. It has made fishing so much better!

I have the Comfort Troll on my Fortrex pedal. The one I have is square on the front and sides but the back of the foot well is round. It works great and doesn't flex even if you put all of your weight on it. I was also worried about the the sun and cold on the plastic one. I have a really nice metal template if you decide to go this route. You simply place the template on the carpet trace around it with a Sharpe and cut inside the line so it will fit tight. Seal the exposed wood or fiber glass with resin and put the pedal down. I even moved my trolling motor plug to the inside right front corner of the foot well. This way I don't have any wires on my front deck. Makes for a really clean install. Hope this helps.

I work in a metal shop and built my own out of 14ga carbon steel. I coated with flex seal and added a plate for tools and a cup holder. Definitely a major help on legs and back. content://media/external/file/38629

all I know is cutting through that ranger deck will take a good bit of "saw zawing" lol! Those decks are very thick. but once you got to a recessed tray, your back will thank you!
