I saw an interview with that fella this a.m. on the Today show. They had video of the fish and of them puting it in a big tank(the vid will probably show up on the MSNBC site soon). Too bad it died while being transported elsewhere. Cabelas is making a cast of it for display at their store. Some fish!! One of these days........

Wow, what a huge fish! Both that fish and the one from Chickamauga are so distorted in their appearance. It would be fun to catch a whopper like that but it would be the best if you could donate one of them to some place like the aquarium for others to enjoy. They tend to be pretty fragile when they get big like that and probably get internal injuries from bearing their weight when picked up rather than having the weight be supported by the water.
