Just you Billy emoDoh , and those N Ga boys. emoBigsmile emoBigsmile

I spent the weekend taking the tires and wheels off my trailer and put blocks under it. It's now one of those permanent dwellings. You know, like those civilized people live in. emoEek

I just got off the phone with Sears Roebuck Co. Ordered me a full set of teeth. I did have to getanother redneck to show me how to use the gum measure tape. The salesperson didn't have a clue. I already feel more intelligent. emoThumbsup

Oh, and I ordered a Mozart concerto in d minor flat augmented on CD. Hank's gotta go now.emoAngry

I have a Hank Jr sticker on my boat, does that make me a 'neck? I go to church every sunday, does that make me a 'neck? I wake up every weekday and go to work, does that make me a 'neck? I've been to 12 NASCAR Races, does that make me a 'neck?

There's a huge difference in being a Southerner and a Redneck. It's more about behavior than birthplace. Southerners ...I Like..... Rednecks, I have no tolerance for.

Google redneck.
The battle of Blair Mountain was fought by rednecks, men with red bandannas tied around their necks, against government troops, who were sent to protect the big money men and their coal mines.
The red cloth/neckerchiefs were a sign for many throughout history including Presbyterians in Scotland to distuniguish them from others.
Check out your history before you put a name on someone.
French trapper journals/diaries list N***i*guers, in the late 1700's and early 1800's as "worthless men", not just black men. These worthless men were either running from the law, thieves, bootleggers or gun runners, coming to the Missouri River area in 1800.
The last insert was copied from a history professor from Ohio State in book he had written, The Frontiersman"
Cracker comes from Georgia; the best teamsters were crackers from GA. A GA teamster could flick a fly off a mules ear while in stride and the mule would not break stride; cia 1820..history of GA. ( Bull whip cracks when snapped).
Atlanta baseball team were the Atlanta Crackers until they joined the Major League franchise.

Well I consider myself a redneck and don't really care who does or does not tolerate me. In a SHTF scenario I would take a redneck by my side over ANYBODY else. Maybe some don't care for the way we live our lives but one thing is for sure. We WILL survive! We will be there for those who CANNOT help themselves. We WILL come out on top when the gubment is gone.

Words often take on different meanings thought time and history as you have pointed out. So what would be the correct term to describe a : mouth breathing, dumb as a sack of hammers, cousin marrying, tobacco spittin, knuckle draggin, rebel flag wavin, mullet headed American?

Did you leave out trailer trash and Nascar on purpose ?

If it makes you feel any better, I bet most rednecks can't tolerate you either.

I breathe out of my mouth, so that makes me a trashy Mouth Breather. I spend most weekends in a trailer, which makes me a 'neck. I had a mini-mullet as a kid, which makes me a 'neck and my parents "trash". I've chewed tobacco in the past, which makes me a 'neck. I have a beard that is way too long, which makes me a 'neck. Not everyone who fought under the Confederate Flag was a slave owning, cousin marrying, "mouth breathing", dumb as a sack of hammers redneck... they fought for their homeland, many of which were my family members too poor to own a slave or much of anything. Its easy for Liberals to insult a "group" of people... but don't DARE question liberals actions, beliefs and intentions, because thats not right, OR the liberal way.

I believe the term you are looking for would be "white trash". Words do change meaning through the years, but I feel confident that this one will describe the particular group of people you are referring to for quite a while...

If you hadn't said "confederate flag waiving" I would have said the answer was a yankee. Most annoying people on the planet and usually more redneck than what most people call rednecks.

Well the only folks to call me a redneck .. were black folks, and they usually added cracker at the end of it lol

Im a geek, with red neck tendencies LOL
