I have a couple casting reels that need some attention, mostly lubricated. Who do you recommend locally?

I'm disappointed nobody replied to this. Everyone must be fishing. Anyway I sent a reel to Outdoor World owned by Bass Pro. They charge $20.95 and will ship to the new BPS store in E Ridge so I don't have to pay the $7.95 shipping charge.

Thats cool, yeah I was wondering where a good place was also. I have a couple reels that the line guide is sticking to the left side. I think I have heard that Hamiltons can fix rods but not sure if they do reels. Hey Gator will Outdoor World do lews reels bought at academy?

I'm sure they will but probably not if you need warranty service. I think they repair all types. You can google Bass Pro Reel Repair and get all the info.

man, reels are relatively simple contraptions. They come apart easily without any special tools or technical skills. I can completely disassemble most reels and have them back together in minutes. cleaning and lubing is quite easy with mild solvents and light oils(rocket fuel is my favorite).

I thought I could handle it but when the very first screw wouldn't come out like it showed on you tube I didn't want to screw up a $200 reel. I'm basically cheap so paying for something I generally do myself is against my religion. Lol.
