Wow, I'd never heard that there were stripers that far up in the Hiwassee but I wouldn't doubt it. I would expect that with the decreased flow this year that some of the fish that normally can't tolerate the cold water might be farther up stream. Maybe that's not a good assumption but it could be right.
I do not know where there might be holes up there. I have kayaked the Hiwassee from the dam to the 411 bridge and can't think of any big holes.
