Is this area on the left under water or just grown over by trees, or is it still there?

Well said Crod! Thanks for the pics and the links.
Miss Fat Albert's joke of the day and the off topic banter that used to go on. Shoot, Beetlespin took a gender bashing shot at me-and we'd never even met! Turns out it wasn't mean't to be for us anyway.
This place could use a lot more colorful posts and some interesting points of view on all topics!
For instance- is Fishin' Junkie still "dating" that Magistrate's daughter that he met on that one time he stumbled into church?
Thanks for the follow-up Crod!

i beleive that is the old coal shute, without the gates? and the old dam is under water or part of it, seems like they tore it down or blew part of it up? maybe someone else now's exactally. but i like the old photos, myself. i would post some if i had them. thanks for sharing. emoThumbsup

The site changed hands and the new owners started charging us for our linked web sites. And all the good posters and information went away. I stil visit once or twice a week. And the area on the left up to a point is still there. That is the coal shute there are a set of steps that come down and off the wall now that you can see where that small patch of trees are at. That wall is still there and runs way out in the middle of the river. Its about 9 to 8 feet on top and about 40 feet deep on both sides of the wall.

That could be Me and my Daddy down there fishing. I miss those days. The JACK ( KNOWN AS SAUGER THESE DAYS ) FISHING WAS UNREAL. Square dancing in Nick-a-jack cave , picking up arrowheads, going on pic-nics at the Dam and the cave, they are just long gone memories now. Bob Dylan said a few years back the Times they are changing. I have seen about enough changes to last me.
