Please do not spam the forum to get your number of posts. We are giving you two free passes. This includes posting on the introductions forum for people who have been members for 4 months, or posting to six month old fishing reports. Trust me when I tell you that moderators are watching, and if abused, will delete your posts and reduce your post count.

+1

We don't want to see the forums flooded with new posts on threads that are 4 or 6 months old. We encourage you to get your post counts up by adding meaningful discussion to current threads, posting fishing reports, or starting new discussions within the several individual forums that we provide our members with.

Spamming just for the purpose of raising your post count to fish the CFF Trail will result in post count reduction and possible account suspension. Like Patrick said, you have 2 free passes to use. That will carry you through the 1st two events. During that time span, make MEANINGFUL posts, and getting to the required 150 posts before the 3rd event will be a piece of cake.

You must have a minimum of 150 posts total between you and a partner to fish the trail. You presently have 76. If you partner up with someone with at least 74 posts, you can fish. The reasoning behind this is simple. We have many on here that are registered members but do not contribute anything to the forum. No fishing reports, no advice, no nothing. They get on here to get information only. The CFF Trail is for active contributing members. We

We offer 2 free passes to those that want to fish but do not have the required post count. Kinda gives someone time to get their post count up to fish the rest of the season. They must be used before the 5th tournament though.

We set upthe CFF Traila few years ago to getpeople involved in tournament fishing who would otherwise never do so.Besides the initial registration fee of $5.00 at the beginning of the year, the cost is only $30.00 per boat ($15.00 each)per tournament, which includes the Big Fish Pot. The most you can win is $200.00 for first place, but we pay deep into the field. Bragging rights are just as important too. We've had more than 70 boats for our Spring tournaments on Chickamauga.

70 boats is awesome! Thanks for the information, I can see the neeed for the regulations. I look forward to fishing with some fellow CFF'ers in the near future. Maybe I will jump in next year when I re-acclamate myself to the wonderful world of fishing. A lot has changed in the past 30 years; rods, reels , electronics, and particularly the language. Would you have imagined 30 years ago you would be paying over $100 for a fishing rod? Or dragging a 3 to 5 wire lure through the water? I look forward to meeting a lot of you.

The cut off for signing up was 8:00 pm last night so i would say they will tell you no.may want to check on the next tx but your boat has to have 150 post between you and your partner. glad to have you on the forum and look forward to meeting you .

I don't "pad" my posts to try to increase my count, but occasionally I may respond to an old post that appears on the "home" page without noticing that it's months old.Isn't there any way to archive an old post so that it doesn't show up on the home page after so long? Just wondering. Also, if I missed the sign-up deadline, does that mean for the whole year or just the first tx? I was thinking I may try to fish some this year.

I am not on the committee but can tell you your count is fine. You can fish any of them you want. There was a person a couple days ago that went reply happy and commented on a whole lot of posts. Each of his replies were just a couple words. It was a flood. It appeared to be "Padding". I believe that is where this just came back up from. There is a sign up deadline for each tournament, you do have to make that deadline in order to fish that tournament. Does that answer your questions? emoAngel Jmax

The deadline is for each individual tournament. As far as archiving old posts, I think they are they to look back on for referece. As far as what Jim mentioned...we are currently deciding what to do with those who pad posts to fish. The forum may choose to reset their post count completely, or we are discussing making them ineligible to fish 1 or more tournaments. You can easily see who is padding posts to get up there counts in most cases. Unfortunately, you always get a few bad apples. I think of it this way, in the definition of character; if you cannot trust someone to qualify the right way when you are watching them, then how can you trust them when they are out on the water and no one is watching them.

Ok! It's all good. I knew I had enough posts to cover myself and a newer member, but so far we haven't made a final decision on fishing together. He is a much better fisherman than me, and has others that he fishes with that are better than me also. We just have a ha-ha time when we fish for fun, so we were kickin around the thought. emoDance

That's what our little group is designed for...fun and fellowship. (At least that is what I say because I never win...)
