I have a Remington 30:06 model 742 for sale. I bought this gun new in 1980, I used it for deer hunting. I stopped deer hunting in 1995, and the gun hasn't been fired sense. I take it out and clean it once in a while. the Rifle is like new, not a scratch on it. I have a full box of ammo, and a leather carrying case that goes with it. I'm asking 425.00 cash if interested shot me a pm. I may consider trading for a nice 9mm pistol.

Do you know what model 742 you have and does it have a scope on it?

Derek the model is 742? emoScratch Are you wanting to know BDL or ADL? I shoot this gun....very nice gun and I sold a ton of these in my days with Wal-Mart. I can honestly say I never recall one ever coming back. That is out of thousands I sold. emoThumbsup Jmax

There was a 742A, 742ADL, 742BDL and a 742 carbine and I think there is a 742 premier that is actually worth quite a bit. Just trying to figure out which one it is.

no it don't have a scope. and the rifle has the nice basket weave checkering carvings on the stock and hand grip. it don't say anything but Woodmaster model 742. I think I have the carbine, it is about 3 feet in length. I tried to post some pictures of it, with the add but it didn't work. but it is a beautiful Rifle and shoots very accurate.

You are discribing a BDL if it is a basket weave stock. Does it have a clip that holds four and with one in the chamber holds five shots? If it does you have a, "30.06 Remington 742 BDL Woodsmaster". Nice gun.
