Pics of my PB largemouth (12lb 8oz) and smallie (6lb 4oz), both of which came from Chick...

Big shout out to Dave Campbell, his replica work is top notch. I did a ton of research on replicas and his name came up several times as being one of the best in the country. Both of my mounts are on his website under "master grade" tab.

Those look great. He did a great job matching the colors. Some guys paint everything they do the same color but it looks like he tried to make it look like the fish in the pics. CONGRATS on the catch and the mounts!
 
Thanks! I did hours of research online before I chose to go with Dave. His name came up frequently as one of the best in the country. He did match his paint job to all the pics I texted him, they both turned out great. If I get another DD from Chick or a smallie over 7lb I'll be having him make another replica mount for me.

Thanks! I caught the 12lb 8oz during a trip of a lifetime to Chick last year. I posted about it in the "What was your best day on the Chic" thread here on CFF.

And Dave's work is amazing. I have an actual skin mount of a 7lb I caught back in high school and both of my replicas look a million times better than the 7lb. The paint actually has a "shimmer" to it as you move/change the viewing angle of it, just like the real thing! He painted each scale one at a time!

Yes sir! I always say there's a reason a Lamborghini costs more than a KIA!

He was at the higher end of the price range when I was doing my initial research on replica companies, but I'm SO glad I went with his "master grade" replicas. It seemed like all the other companies out there like Lake Fork taxidermy, etc did a very basic/general color scheme and paint job on the fish and most of them were in the $500-$700 range. Now, the Lake Fork's and other similar companies out there in that price range looked good, but I wanted the best, I wanted phenomenal...... Price wasn't the #1 deciding factor in my decision, it was actually the last. Both of these fish are my PB's (as of today's date....LOL) and I didn't want to "cut corners" and get a cheaper mount for these two fish of a lifetime.

My goal is to break my PB smallie with a 7lb+ from up north (or from the Chick again...) the next 3-5 years. It's going to be a little harder to beat my PB largemouth of 12lb 8oz, but Gabe Keen (along with others) have proved that Chick has 13lb+'s swimming in it... I'm going to give it my best shot every time I come down there!

Those are some of the best looking replicas I've ever seen...by far. Most usually look plasticy...yours look better than a skin mount.
 
Heard years ago that if you catch a state record bass and give it to Bass Pro Shops for their aquarium, they will award you with a new Chevy truck and Nitro bass boat. Anyone else ever hear of that?

Beautiful mounts!! Been thinking about doing a rep but wasn’t sure who to use. Looks like u found a great guy!! Caught a 10.22 a couple years back that was 28.5 inches in length and 26 in girth. A true football.Beautiful Chick bass. May give guy a call. Thanks for the post!
