Here are one of each. Bud Hull did both of them. The LM was 7.28 and the SM was 5.50 The LM is the replica and the SM is a skin mount. The replica was done using the exact measurements of the fish. These were both done about 10 years ago and still look good but the skin mount was damaged in a move and the tail was broke. I'm not sure if the replica would have broken but it seems much more durable. The replica was about $75-$100 more than a skin mount. This is where a reward program would be beneficial to help offset the cost and allow the fish to live. I am a sponsor of the CBA and would be willing to donate to a reward program in a minute. It would be a lot of work but I think it would pay off in the long run. I would highly recommend Bud Hull for either one, he did a great job!
I tried to post another replica pic of one a buddy caught but I'm not sure where it went. It was done by Bud Hull for $320 or so.It was 9.92lbs and the fish is on CFF on a post i had made about it.

Thanks for posting those pics - nice. Bud does great work. He's been in the business for 45 years. I'm currently getting my first crappie mount done by him and he's repainting a bass I caught 40 years ago. It's fallen off the wall one too many times over the years...

I have mixed feelings, myself. I beleive in realeasing a trophy bass-a crappie is usually oughta luck with me anyway.
Bud did do the only mount I have and it's a crappie.
As far as a bass goes, if you don't do the real fish-anyone can make up any numbers! I can order myself a 12 lbr right now!

Isn't there already a "release or your a mouthbreather" thread going??

Yall dont want to miss out on the thread of the century, go post over there!

That's true Roy! And I can photo shop a picture, falsify a few documents and be a line backer at Alabama too if I just want to lie! I can also just go buy a skin mount and guess what? I caught it! You can't stop a liar or a cheater in either situation!

"Mouthbreather?-Thread of the century?" go over where Hollywood?

it's all about having passion for our fishery that makes us just want to preserve it for the future...a lot of us on here remember the years that it sucked (where 5 fish were 5 lbs and 15 lbs was winning tourneys)...it's those thoughts that are in the back of our minds that make a lot of us nervous about fishing being hauled out of the lake…does somebody have the right to take 5 - 12 lbrs home with them to do as they please? In short..yes they have the right and can do it every day…in a way it’s a double edge sword of having this problem and it’s a good problem to have…I just hope it lasts
