Met up with Birdman at Sportmans WH Friday to pick up my 9.8 largemouth. Guys let me tell you I have set and tried to imagine how it would look if I had to perform the task of painting and what not. IT WUTIN PURDY> Birdman did an excellent job and the feeling of a replica, some are right, it is not indeed the fish I caught , but it is truly overcome by the fact that everytime im on the water I know she is lurking somewhere out thar. THANKS, BIRDMAN.

You did the right thing PJ. I believe that if someone is not going to eat a fish they should release it. If it is a trophy class fish take a photo and some measurements and turn it loose. Nothing worse than wasting fish and that is what happens most of the time at the taxidermist. JMHO

Good job there bird man..... wonder if you could do any improvement on the perchjerker???? FA said that and I ain't taking it back.....sorry Chris. but the bass looks real good.

Nice job and the fish looks really good. I would have a hard time keeping one that big knowing that the replica will last longer and still look good 20 yrs from now. Lots of the skin mounts get worn and have to be redone after a time,.

it looks great! i just wish everyone would use replicas to let the fish live to be caught again and to have more big fish bloodlines passed down so our kids and grandchildren will be able to continue doing what we enjoy!(fishing) also, it doesn't make sense to kill a fish (and all of its futer decendants), to have it basicly gutted then painted anyway, when the replica can be painted too! and it's just my opinion but even if the colors aren't exacly a match, you still will look at the trophy years later and remember catching it.
