Grants Sporting Goods held its first Bass tournament of 2009 at Lake Guntersville in Scottsboro, AL. 64 Teams competed for a purse of $7440.00 in cash and prizes. First place went to the team of Wayne Boyd and Gary Carter with a five fish limit that weighed 25.13 pounds. They received $2000.00 for their win. Second place was a tie between the team of Greg Lamb and Buddy Gross - Bobby Ogle and Dale Bruce. Their weights were 24.11 pounds. Both teams received $1100.00 for their effort. Big fish of the tournament went to the team of Chuck Anderson and Tony Coker with a Largemouth that weighed 8.01 pounds. They also finished in 5th place and won $900.00 for their efforts.
