I installed these in all of my cabinets, not to hard to do. Just follow the instructions on the first couple and then you will be able to do it without looking at the instructions again. If I remember correctly it is just two screws at the front and then a couple at the back to install them in the cabinet. The biggest headache is getting the shelf put together and you need to look at the instructions to get it right the first time.
Not sure on the repairs. I have not had an issue with mine and they have been in about four years.
