Review of Minn Kota " i-pilot "

Recently bought a new Minn Kota Terrova bow mount trolling motor. 24v. 80# thrust with Universal Sonar and i-pilot. Have tried the i-pilot feature in the wind and waves, and today in the wind and strong current at Riverpark. All I can say is WOW !! When you hit the anchor button on the wireless remote, you are anchored to that spot. The motor makes all speed and direction corrections to keep the bow locked onto your spot. It is great for fishing open water structure, working down a shoreline or anyplace where you would want to stop and fish a spot thoroughly. You get to concentrate on fishing and don't have to be on the trolling motor constantly.

I know several guys on the forum have had i-pilot for some time, but thought I would share my experience. All I can say is i-pilot "PRICELESS". A great product that really works. Does the corrections very efficiently so probably less drain on the batteries than the constant up and down that I would be doing with manual control.

Try it you will love it.

I want an I-pilot but I will need to wait until next year considering all the money I have put in this old Ranger trying to bring her back up to better than average shape. I'm sold on the I-Pilots and can't wait to install one. I feel it would be worth the investment.</p>
