Hello to all. I have lurked here for quite some time and have found the info on this site to be very helpful. I fished alot while I was in school but then began shooting a rifle both as an individual and a member of the Ga State Rifle Team. After seven years I found myself straining to see the front sight so I started fishing. The only time I shoot anymore is when our local law enforcement goes to the range or I am training squad designated marksmen for the Army. My home lake is Weiss but I love the big G, Nickajack, and Chickamauga. I use the handle "Weims" because I do weimaraner rescue. I hope to contribute to this site. Weims out.

What is weimaraner rescue?

I would guess he is a rehab specialist for abandoned Weimaraners. Great dogs. We have a miracle Weimy that died on the operating table when he got his tail docked, and they brought him back to life. Super sweet dogs and some great swimmers!!

A weim is a dog. Also known as the gray ghost. I get them from all over the South and house them until I can place them in new homes. I also have 3 of my own and use them to hunt pheasants, ducks and track wounded deer.

I knew Weimaraners were a dog and actually my first dog as a child was a Weim. I was just courious as to why it was just one specific breed that you concentrated on to rescue and if there was a reason Weims may need rescued more so than other breeds. However actually the main reason to ask the question was to get a response and help you with your post count since I read some of the ellite had discouraged you from posting randomly.
Do you track wounded Deer just for yourself or do you do it as a side job also?

I only rescue weims at this time due to space and my love for the breed. When I started there were only 2 rescues for weims in the south and they stayed full. I also have setters. As far as tracking I help friends and family but don't have the time to be part of the state tracking list. I would like to the dogs enjoy it.
