Sad to see him go. Amazing how the Wood's set the standard for which all other Boat's were judged by. And how the quality just kept growing and growing- still! A few words of interest- A lot of folks don't know that Forest and Nina has a handicapped daughter with CP. Every year they held a benefit tournament for CP at Campbell Point Boat Dock on Table Rock where I used to work and, gave away a fully rigged Ranger to the winners. My boss Dan Langley, was the TX director for many years until the event grew so large they had to move it down to Point 13. I finally got to meet Forest at the Wheeler FLW Cup a few years ago and when I mentioned the benefit event, he lit right up! This was not a promo event for Ranger Boats. What an amazing individual and contributor to not only the legend of Ranger boats but humanity in general. Maybe some day I'll be able to afford that new Ranger dream rig. But for now, I've been remodeling an '05 521 VS. Last night I'd just finished a custom console job on it and took some pics. When I went online on the BBC Forum Boards, I saw the announcement of his passing. Condolences to the Wood's. We will surely miss him. RIP Forrest L. Wood.

I met him at the classic a few years back. really nice guy.

id like to see those pics you took of the ranger remodel. Or I might stop by and check it out sometime. sounds cool.

A really great boat and boat company. Always on the leading edge of safety. Not the fastest but one of the safest boats ever built.
I still remember the old red and white inboard/outboards, with the seat on top of the motor, from back in the day. LOL, we sure have come a long ways...
RIP Forrest L. Wood
