Who uses this ramp successfully? I used to all the time, but stopped using it last year when I was being backed down saw it was too short for my trailer at low water, but maybe I was on the wrong side. Is one side better than the other?

Also...I saw another trailer dropped off the end of it today on the pier side when I drove by after lunch. I left after about 10 minutes and have no idea how they got it out as the truck was just spinning the tires and not pulling it out.

Does anyone know the best way to safely remove a trailer where both wheels have been backed off the end of a ramp?

"Safe" That's a tough one. I've always used the "Armstrong" trailer lift emoBigsmile

Letting all the air out might let the tires "walk" over the edge or just maybe give you a stuck trailer with flat tires emoBang

I have dropped mine off before but I have a big 4 X 4 and it has not been a problem to get it pulled back up. However if I was pulling a trailer with something that might spin maybe the thing to do would be to back it just a touch further down and hit the ramp just a little bit hopefully bouncing the tires back up. Just a thought.

David that ramp has given me fits also. It has a really deep drop off over most of the width of it. If the water is down like it has been a lot this summer and winter time I have had to angle the trailer across the ramp and down stream to load my boat keeping it close as you can to the pier. Gravel and silt tend to settle there on the down stream side of the ramp. It this ramp is close to the house and I use it sometimes. A word of warning about pulling a loaded trailer up the ramp after the tires have dropped off, Had a friend of mine try it at this ramp and the trailer came up the ramp minus the axel and wheels, broke off at the spring hangers. That was a funny sight that bass boat sitting on a trailer and no running gear. Cost him a lot of doe to have a welder repair it at the ramp...
