The wife and I put in at the riverpark at about 5:30pm this afternoon. Figured it would be slow with the bluebird skies, high pressure, and north wind. Tried out some new water near the dam. Caught a smallie that went 2lbs5oz and the wife caught a pretty good sized spot. Went down stream to one of my favorite areas right at dusk and immediatly hooked up with a monster! Too bad it was a big blue cat. Good fight though. Hooked another little smallie, then broke off my jig and took that as a sign to go. The wind got BAD after dark. Met TWRA Officer Majors at the ramp, nice guy.

Totals for `Da Bomber...
2 Smallmouth over 12"
1 Spot
1 Blue Cat

All fish were as fat as could be. Literally stuffed to the gills. I shoulda thrown the spot in the well, took him for a ride, an seen what he puked up. Caught all fish (even the blue) on either dark tubes (MB rigged), or dark hair jigs.

That's a fat bellied Smallie. I cleaned a spot yesterday that had a 4-5" white bass in it's belly and it was still hungry! At least it was until it met up with me!!!emoHungry

At least the MB has taught him how to smile when he gets his picture taken..... good job, Clint. nice fishes......emoThumbsup

I taught him how to rig a tube to reduce the hangups too. If anyone else is interested do a search on "new craw tube rig" author "madbomber" in tips & tricks.

This was the post that first introduced "Fat Albert". Sorry about that!

I just can't pass up a chance to *** you! I love you more than a mere brother!!

Maybe I need to take your advice and get back to the tube and let the sweet beaver rest for a while.
