Here is the scenario: Me and 2jigs, 2 dozen big 'ol shiners, cloudy day, TVA flowin good water. Fished some of my favorite banks and wound up with a baker's dozen fish. All came on the shiners but one. I caught him on a dropshot in a brush pile in 20ft of water. Saw it on the graph, put the dropshot in it, out came a smallie. Targeted ledges with the shiners. Wound up with 6 Smallies, 4 Spots, 1 Blue Cat, and 2 Channel Cats. No big smallies, maybe next time.

Yeah, it looked like a great day to be on the water. That bend of the river is always productive for smallies. Glad somebody got to enjoy it!

I have to agree with Polo .. looks like catching that fish hurt or something! If it were my mug shot holding that fish, you be seeing all my pearly whites!

I sore-mouthed several smallies on that bank the day before.  A good friend (non-CFF'er) caught a 4 3/4 smallie early yesterday morning on a big shiner up near the riverpark.
