Riverpark 3/27/07

Thought I was going to have my first solo launch this morning but my brother-in-law called me up at 11pm and couldn't fight the fishing fever! Put in at the Riverpark around 8:30am and were looking to catch fish on topwater! On my fifth cast I got my first fish on a buzzbait this year...emoCool Then I decided to tie on a Zara Puppy to see if they would hit that. About my 3rd cast with the puppy, the smallmouth exploded on top of it. We fished rocky/brush banks along the main channel. We caught roughly 20-22 fish in the 3 hours we were out there. Most came on the puppy, spit n image, or zoom fluke. We had a blast with the topwaters. Go get em!

Glad to hear the topwater is picking up. I had a toad blow up on my torpedo Sunday morning and I cannot wait to get back out there this weekend.
