Riverpark 9/9/06 Nitetime

The wife and I went out again to the riverpark. We were looking for some smallies but we couldn't catch any for all the catfish!! Meredith caught one smallmouth that went 1lb 12oz. Then she hooked into a big cat. She handed me the rod and made me fight it. 10 minutes later it was in the boat and weighed 17lbs 9oz. Finally got back to fishing and not 3 casts later she hooked another cat and handed me the rod. 15 minutes later it weighed 25lbs 5oz. Got back to fishing again and I finally stick a fish that wraps me up. After about 5mins of fooling with it it swims free and we boat our 3rd blue cat at 9lbs 6oz. I was tired and we headed to the house. All fish (including CATFISH) were caught on hair jigs with pork.

I am also now a FIRM beliver in P-Line. The two big cats were landed on 8lb florocarbon. The 25lber was deep hooked with the line rubbing his tooth patches the whole time. The 9lber was on 10lb floro. I will be using P-Line exclusively from now on.

Nice Cats! The P-Line is a very good line.We are changing over to it also.That fishing trip sounds alot like some of our's "catching is fun"
