Well friends.. I decided to go fishing and the wife and son decided they wanted to go .. We got there at about 5:30pm or so out the boat in .. went down stream 1/4 mile or so.. picked up a zook type bait I had just finshed makin (cool bait in the water ) I was walkin it back to the boat and a big ol bluegill grabed it . the lure was almost as big as the fish .. there is some very aggressive bluegill and sunfish in the river lol. I had a huge lagemouth smack it .. it missed came back 4 times to get it .. finnaly hooked him he jumped and literaly spit the lure back into the boat... I cast some more along that bank .. nothing .. I moved out to fish the same humps I caught the fish on the other day.. and then the skies turned black .. and thunder rolled in .. lightning started cracking all over .. I headed for the ramp .. just as I got the wife and kid dropped off to run for cover .. it started to really let loose, hail, and lightning everywhere ... I couldnt get my boat into the dock cause of all the other newbies trying to figure it out .. so they finnally moved off the ramp and I got in .. I thought for sure I was gonna get zapped. </p>

emoUpsmile Sounds like a bad day at the ramp NRG! Glad ya'll made it out ok. Man, it never ceases to amaze me that when the rain and storms hit all the folks in the world will want to leave at the same time!! emoLaugh If you want to have some fun go to Parksville in the early summer about 4 or 5 pm and wait for the storms to roll in over the mtn. and you will get to see a hilarious show for sure. Since the ramp is so narrow and hard to get into, most of the folks will cross it up at least a dozen times before ever getting down the ramp. Especially the jet ski's. Sometimes ya just have to sit and watch.....emoLaugh Thanks for the report...

I was just going to mention the bridge. I have hid under there many times and wondered if it's safe to hang out near a bridge in a storm?
