Picked up Roba22 at WT ramp and headed out this morning at 6:30am. Fished shallow grass hoping to snag that sow that I saw yesterday but only caught smaller fish. Caught a few that would keep over the grass and had some fish on the grass edge. Once the sun came up I decided to show him what fishing in front of Sequoyah on a Saturday was like. There was flow out of the plant but nothing flowing in the river. Got quite a few hits on the drop but never caught one, just no current. I decided to look for grass in a slough and found a milfoil bank just inside a slough. This was the first milfoil mat that I have fished in Chickamauaga since '90. There were some smalll fish that Roba22 snagged and I had one blowup in the grass on a frog but didn't catch one. Total we had close to ten fish. We never fished any deep areas other than at Seqoyah, but it was nice to see that there are fish in the shallow grass early and shallow. It was great to get to know Roba22. He and I both were at the McCallie game last night and had lots to talk about. Wow, what a game!
