hog daady,
Sounds like you had one heck of a day catching......not just fishing!! Good report!!!
Just where are these lakes located? You mentioned you fished the middle lake...how many of them are there and are they linked together or totally independent from each other?
THANKS,
JSV

RE: rocky mt.

JVS the lakes are about 6or8 miles south of summerville ga. on hwy 27 i'm pretty shore there are signs down that way and there are three lakes down there they are all connected by spillways the last lake is called the trophy lake it's only open the first 10 day's of each month the first two are open from sun up to sun down if you want more directions give ma a hollar and i'll get some road names

Thanks hog daddy!!! If I ever venture that way.I'll PM you for directions.
One last question ....do they have a camp ground there on the water? Wife ,little Girl and I get out and camp a lot during the summer (mostly up on the Hiawassee) but are open for new places. We are certain to go down and camp on The G this summer. Thanks for the info. and report.

JVS,
There is a very good camp ground on the middle lake, with several spots on the water. My wife and I camped there most of the summer two years ago while we were having our house built. I kept my boat in the water, tied off to the bank right at our campsite. We had a great time and caught a lot of fish.emoSmile

Hogdaddy, whats the name of this place and where do I find it? Sounds like a really nice place to take the kid and wife for a good day of fishin.

I think Ive been there b4 going to fix a computer ? Is this same place your talkin about ? you drive down this road, and there are primative camp sites on both sides of the road, looks like some are staying there year round.. then you drive alittle further and there is 2 lakes /ponds on the right and one to the left over the hill , the 2 on the right have a foot bridge and spill way/gate that seperates the 2 on the right. and you can rent jon boats there. If this is the same place .. looked like a beautiful place.. even in winter when I came thru there, I wondered how the fishing was. I cant remember what the name was and not even sure I can even figure out how to get back there since I was only there once and it was months ago.

Editing this post .. I found the one talking about in the above post .. and its in summerville .. Sloppy Floyd state park here is the link http://gastateparks.org/info/sloppy/

Maybe your talkin about Rocky Mountain Public Fishing Area ?

NRG you got it and beebasser sounds like you know about this little piece of heaven if any body wants to catch a pig i'd sugest fishing the trophy lake but go through the week the weekends are relly crowded but for shellcrackers or croppie all the lakes are relly loaded in a week or two it'll be time to load the kids up and make some more memories
