Went to Rocky Mtn. for some crappie fishing today with an old friend and fishing buddy. We caught more crappie in the anount of time that we were there than any other time in my life! I knew the fishing would be good but WOW. We had 2 limits of keepers by 12:40 this afternoon they were good fish but we wanted to cull some of the less good ones. We left at 3:00 with 60 crappie that nearly filled a 60 quart cooler. 90% were caught on Kalin's John Deere Green or Green Hornet on 1/32 oz hot pink heads. The others came on a variety of colors black/blue/chartruse, bubblegum/chartruse, black/chartruse.
All fish were caught on main lake structure in 10 to 15 feet of water which started out at 65 deg and was at 68 when we left.
Sorry no pics, I put them on ice and will try to take some pics tomorrow.

I don't get to fish as much as in the past because my job has changed dramatically. Corley has downsized it's office personnel and is requiring the ones that were not fired to take up the slack so when not on the road performing my regular duties I am required to report to the office daily. Therefore I must optimize my fishing opportunities. God who in His infinite wisdom knows that most of the fish I catch are used in ministry has once again showed his awesome ability to meet our needs.
I give him thanks.
