Rocky River Hunting Club

[White Oak Mtn Ranger]

Rocky River Hunting Club off of highway 8 on road to McMinnville - Can anyone tell me about hunting on that club? Website and phone call didn't give much info other than QDM, lease size, membership, cost and etc.

If you've hunted deer/turkey there, or are a member I would appreciate your thoughts on the club.

not sure if its still a club .Mike black lives in jasper was over it he ran a great club there and also operated jasper mnt hunt club .he would know details also edgemun the local game warden might help.last i was told a few of the old members had it rented .

I have a customer that is a member. I dont know much about it other than it is huge and it is trophy managed. I'll see if I can find out some more info when I see him later this week.

Its a great Run Club I was a member for 3 years and have nothing bad to say about it. Its 100" minimum on Bucks. I killed one over a hundred my first year on it. Its a big place, but just like any other lease you have many days when you have it all to yourself. Peak traffic times are not that buisy with all the land. There are some huge bucks on the Property but you need to spend your time in the woods figuring it out. The cover in places is unreal with all of the Clearing that has grown up. I would say most of the big bucks up there are safe when the guns start going off. I have never seen another hunter in the woods while hunting. I got off it this year due to being able to hunt close to home and flat out just couldnt justify the time I could hunt it for the pr,ice. Good Luck

thanks for good info. do you have any idea how many bucks/does are harvested annualy. same with turkey. and is there quail and grouse hunting?

Its a great club. Hunted up there many times as a guest with a buddy. Last year when I wanted to join it was $550. I didn't have the money at the time so I didn't get on. It is well worth the money. There are some good deer running around up there. Turkey too.
