Fat Albert is the best, but if he is busy calling balls and strikes, Hamilton Sports Shop is a good place too.

John Miles in Cleveland does a great job for me. He can build them and repair them. He just came out with an economy line of rods that are SWEET SWEET. They are priced for us poor people.emoThumbsup

Is it possible to have a rod fixed when it has snapped at the tip, because when fishing the Tx today, all the pleasure boats were riding by us creating massive wakes which pushed my boat closer to a dock and the boat was bouncing up and down rapidly. So a few inches of my baitcaster was sticking out and went under the dock and the wake made the boat bounce up and the rod just snapped! Pleasure boats- emoEnforce -ME

Yes it can be repaired. Also, the closer the break is to the tip, the more likely the action is to be similar.

Crazybass,
yes it can more than likely be repaired. It will probably involve putting a fiberglass/graphite sleeve over the break area (think pipe coupling). It will make that area stiffer so you rod action may change some. Fat Albert on the board builds rods for fun and might be able to do the repair. Also for hire in Cleveland, for rod building and repairs is Joe Burns and John Miles.
