Is there a place locally that sells the bungee cord rod straps for boats... i can order them online but the shipping is ridiculous...thanks for any help

Have you checked Academy sports? I'm not 100% but I think I saw some there. I know I saw some at Hamilton's on Hwy 58.

Made my own. Go to Ace Hwd and I believe you'll find everything you need. As for bungee cords, Northern Tool has a good supply. I like the flat style over the round ones.

I've got some brand new ones I will sell. They're not bungee though, they're the retractable kind that mount flush on the boat.
