This supreme court decision was made in Jan. of 1973, it hasn't changed one iota in 36 years but now it is blamed on Obama, how many presidents have come and gone in all of those years, republican and democrat and none of them tried to get things changed? Why is it that this is one item on our forum that some are griping about day in and day out that neither party has tried to change but now it is a hot topic? In my opinion nothing would have been brought up now untill a half white/half black president is elected but he just so happens to be a democrat? If a republican had been elected around 5 months a go, these discussions wouldn't even be happening now. The democrats won and the republicans lost, get over it.

Doc I think it's because of his support for late term abortions and government funding for them. I think it's more about that then race. But I wouldn't put it past some folks (not on here) for having racist motives

What?? So your calling anyone who speaks out on this issue a racist because Obama is not white? Come on Doc, that is a terrible accusation to make man with no evidence to support it. I am really getting sick of folks saying, "if your against Obama, your a racist". THAT IS just Un-American....PERIOD.

I don't see a racist element to the abortion topic, but I have seen a lot of pretty disturbing racist stuff out there coming almost exclusively from southern whites. On abortion, I believe it IS settled law. I also believe those opposing any and all abortions not matter what the reason would be more productive in thir efforts if they spent more time loving than hating. Doing this like supporting sex education in schools, promoting the use of contraceptives, working to reduce the number of un-wanted pregnancies. There will always be a need for safe and legal abortions, but they should be rare. Instead some of them choose to bomb clinics, shoot Dr's while they are sitting in Church, and hold up protest signs at a dead soldier's funeral, while many others silently support them.

First off, I don't agree with abortion as a means of contraception. I feel that it should only be performed in very rare instances. This is what I don't understand, people who want a baby call an unborn baby a baby, those who don't call it a fetus. If the law says that a person can have an abortion and it's not killing a child then how can the law also charge someone with murder of 2 people when they kill a pregnant woman?

This is just one of several cases like this.

When did I say anything about anyone being a racist? Go back and read the thread again and again and again, get it right.

Davo this is the double standard hypocrisy of the pro abortion crowd.

What many pro baby murder people fail to realize when they say that Roe v Wade is settled law is the fact that it was a bad decision. The superme court decision was based on the fetus being an unviable tissue mass. We all know that is a straight up lie. At the time of Roe V Wade the court was stacked with liberal judges. I will agree that the Republicans have done very little to stop abortions as they had promised. The real big difference between the prolife and the pro murder crowd is that the Republicans do not support abortion. The Republicans do not use taxpayer money to fund abortions. The Republicans do not send TAXPAYER MONEY OVERSEAS TO FUND ABORTIONS. Which I might add was one of our current presidents first orders of business in his first week in office.

I WILL NEVER GIVE UP THE FIGHT FOR THE UNBORN AS LONG AS I AM BREATHING ON THIS EARTH.

You guys want us Christians to show love and compassion for the pregnant mothers. Have you ever heard of AAA women's services? This is a Christian based counseling center for women that are in trouble because of an unwanted pregnancy. There are hundreds of centers all over the country that are doing the very same thing that AAA does. All of them are funded by churches and Christian organizations. They cannot get federal funding because they do not offer women the option of abortion. Tell me where is the fairness that you folks scream so loudly about in this. We show love and compassion more than most heathens will ever know. We do not show love by offering condoms to 7th graders though. We teach abstinance in our churches and in our homes because the federally funded public shcools will not allow it. Hundreds of thousands of families are opting to sacrifice their carrers in order to home school their children to teach them right from wrong. The schools are not teaching right and wrong anymore. All they are about is teaching what the ever encroaching federal government mandates so that they can get more funding.

Doc you are right. The demonrats won and the Republicans lost. The Republicans will not get over it as you say. We will point out every bad thing that happens in this country as long as the democrats are in control. This is the game that was played when Bush and the Republicans were in control. Might as well get used to it because it is coming. Better hope we don't have any natural disasters while olbummer is in office because they will be his fault too.

What does the adjective describing skin color have to do with anything?

Also qouted from your first: <u><font size="2">"In my opinion nothing would have been brought up now untill a half white/half black president is elected "</font></u></p>

Your saying if he was white, we wouldnt object to all his actions? I objected to all of Clintons actions, well the bad ones anyway, and he was white, so I guess I am a racist against whites as well. </p>
