I was thinking about going Saturday. Anything special I should do so the boat still runs when I put it up?

Bigkuntry1282, assuming you have an outboard motor just be sure and trim it DOWN to allow the water to run out. You're a brave man to go out in this stuff. emoScratch

if its a direct injected motor make sure you let it warm up a few minutes. Many engine failures are caused by running them too cold.

Yup, let it warm up good before putting the hammer down and tilt it all the way down and let it drain out for a while before taking off, especially if you store it outside or in a garage that isn't insulated.

I second what team-d. Let it warm up and drain good before taking it home. DO NOT UNHOOK THE BOW STRAP UNTILL IT IS IN THE WATER!!!!!!! Was building a lower for a guy and gave him mine as a loaner. His boat slid off the trailer and DESTROYED my lower. Sad part is I was there running another boat and got to see it happen!!!! Just be careful!!!!
