Just wanted to know if anyone is seeing any rutting activity going on. THe farm on hunt on, rubs, scrapes, and any buck activity seems to be non excistent. Ive seen some buck but this year the sign is not there. Whats everyone else seeing, because at least where Im am hunting things seem late. Good luck

Give it till the 2nd week in december. last year i didnt see the first rub till late november. i thought the bucks had moved on or got killed. WRONG! 2nd week in december, i had about 15 to 20 scrapes, and 10 or so rubs within 1 acre of each other. Got the eight point with doe-in-heat scent on december 18th.

Im not seeing hardly any sign where i hunt but just a few rubs. The guy that lives there has only seen 3 does and 1 three pionter and he let them walk. So your not alone.

I was at pinelog wma sat. I saw 13 rubs in about 20ft. prob. 5 scrapes. Ive been seeing alot of sign everywhere ive been. But ive tried everything from code blue golden estrus to trails end 307 and havent seen the first buck.

All signs are pointing towards a later rut this year, and that is accross the board. Although you have to understand that each area is a little different. Some years on my family property there is hardly any sign at all and others there is a scrape and rub every 5 feet but every year there are plenty of bucks.

last year some of the hardest chasing I saw up there was in the first week of December. Just be patient its just around the corner!

I live and hunt on Cagle Mountain, Cherry Branch Area, and we are beginning to see some buck sign. I found some rubs and scrapes this last weekend, really fresh.

Stumbled onto this and thought it gave a great view of what is happening statewide.

Alot of things in nature revolve around the photoperiod ( amount of daylight in a day); the rut, spawn, plants blooming, etc. The guy who started the thread noted that several things that are affected by the photoperiod seem to be delayed this year, and that makes sense. But I personally think that the Spring freeze, Drought, Lack of acorns, etc. have combined to create a delayed rut, but I think once it kicks in it will be wide open!

man back home in wis the buck's have been ripping it up for week's now.It sure is weard adjusting to the difference. The peak rutting back home around Green bay is mostly the first week in november.I still have not been in the wood's yet no where to go but still asking around though.

When I got to Arkansas last week on Thurs. it was cold and the deer were chasing does, making scraps and rubbing. Friday went out with a bow and saw four bucks, three does and two unknowns. The bucks were pushing a doe. None came within bow range.:( Saturday it got hot, into the 70s and it shut them down. My buddy and I spent the rest of the time trying to find some deer movement. We both finally settled for a deer that was not what we were after. I shot a doe that came out of a thicket at 189 yards away. He settled for a small buck that came out into one of his shotting lanes at 60 yards. The big boys had all but come to a stop moving. When it keeps getting into the 70s and 80s the rut is just not happening. This weekend with the colder temps I hope to see some more deer movement.emoSmile Jmax

I don't know about this area but up around LBL this past weekend I found more scrapes and horned trees than I have seen in a long time . I harvested a good 9 pt coming off a big scrape line . Didn't see any chasing but I seen several smaller bucks following does . In Macon County we also found several scrapes and rubs but the big boys were still scarce .

I hunt in North Georgia and i am seeing some pretty good signs here. This past weekend i found several rubs and scrapes. I also have seen several nice bucks on my trail cam. emoEnforce I say keep lookin'
