SAD DAYS!!!

Even worse when you got boats riding directly over where you are casting. Funny part was it was 3 foot of water. It was hilarious to watch the newbie/rude people realize it's shallow start swerveing like crazy. I can't wait for fishing this winter.

That's the reason I try to fish only during the week. Not so much because of the fishing as the idiots in other boats who don't have a clue about boat safety little on courtesy on the water. This is not the majority of other boats. It just seems that way.

It seemed like to today there was a surplus of the rude and uneducated on the water. Two separate boats (both from Georgia) idled directly over the offshore structure I was fishing. It was very obvious that was the direction my partner and I were fishing and they idled over top of it close enough to where I could have casted in there boat. One of the boats even stopped about 15 yards from us and started casting right amongst us. May be my last trip on saturday morning for awhile.

Everybody complains about boats idling and casting torwArds them. Some of y'all need to see how the pros fish offshore community holes they'll be 3-4 lined up rubbing rub rails casting at the same spot. It's ledge season chickamauga isn't like Kentucky or pickwick with miles and miles of productive ledges there 5-7 good places they get on and there obvious places that 90% of the people on the lake know about. It's just funny how all these guys complain about people fishing close to them when there more than likely fishing a major community hole. If you don't like fishing close to people take up golf or tennis

Nope not at all. If you ever watched the Elite series you will never see a boat run directly where they are casting, yes they might fish the same area but from different angles. The problem with the chick is on every satuday morning from March till September there's all these anglers on the river who think they are Kevin Van Dam fishing the final day of the Classic. They run up and down the river like mad men, all of them acting like the river is completely entitled to them, doing their best Edwin Evers impersonation. I understand the pressure that can come with tournament fishing, but these miniature KVD'S think they completely own the river. Maybe I'm just old school, but I was taught that that's not how you treat other anglers.

Had one cut me off on a bank the other day, no where near a ledge. He was on the opposite bank, saw me come out of a small pocket and made a B line straight to the side I was fishing. I was mad at first, until another boat came in and done the exact same thing to him. This was on a Thursday

X2 everyone says I'm tired of people fishing "OUR" lake. It's everyone's lake and everyone has a right to fish it. Some of y'all complain just to hear yourselves talk. There plenty of room at the golf course for y'all griping about the oressure on the lake. Worse than a barber shop hearing women complain and gossip.

Same thing happened to me. made a long run to fish one little stretch of bank and some young hotdogs in a nitro plowed right in and set down 50 yards in front of me robbing me of the bank I was on. No manors. Whats worse is when they plow by instead of stayiing on plane! I guess we just need to expect the worst and speak up when appropriate. I might get a megaphone soon!. lol

They been hollering "FORE" down here on Guntersville for years. Do I think it has hurt the lake not much. I found out when it bothered me I didn't fish well so now I just move and try to find some more. They are plenty of fish in every lake that don't get bothered you just have to look for them. Finding a pattern that works is more enjoyable to me than sitting in one spot and wacking on them.

I've had quite a few boats cut me off recently too. Best one happened sat. Was out with my girlfriend Saturday working some laydowns all of a sudden her rod doubles over and the drag rips. I was thinking she'd hooked a big stripe or a cat because I have never seen a bass hit a Carolina rig that hard before. Anyway we get it to the boat and weigh it cause its the biggest shes ever caught. She yells cause she is so excited "omg 4.3 that's huge." The other boat on the other bank must have heard her cause next thing I know they fly across the creek and pull up on the next laydown literally 30' in front of us on the bank. I just laughed and we kept fishing our pattern working behind these guys, who didn't hook a single fish, and proceeded to catch 6 more fish in the 2-3lb range right behind them. Its very satisfying when you just keep fishing and keep catching fish and they are throwing their hands up everytime you set the hook emoCool emoCool

Y'all must be the two guys that came in on canecutter and I... I understand a community hole, KVD probably taught you that word when bassmaster came here and you watched it on TV and heard him say it. Fishing a big point or a some sort of structure or a known ledge spot is one thing... Cutting in front of someone by about 20 yards over a random spot of the river is being a douche. And of course it's not "our" lake.. Just like "You" shouldn't feel entitled to come in on a spot someone else is fishing, acting like "you" own the place. It's called courtesy, learn it or one day you will be catching some hands from someone.

+100000 Good fishing means more boats, more boats means more idiots...law of averages. It absolutely blows my mind what people think is "okay" to do on the lake these days. No one owns the lake but if you pull in on top of people with that attitude odds are YOUR part of the problem. Common courtesy is being lost in hunting and fishing these days.

Your post comes off as moronic. Neither of them mentioned being okay with cutting someone off or did they bad mouth anyone.... So why would they be catching hands from someone? I know both of them personally and they are both stand up guys who I'm willing to bet can catch their own fish without the need of being rude or in your words being a douche.
