Thats true. Prices are good. And still free shipping if you spend $50+; which is easy to do with todays prices. I will still use TW. I just really like no tax along with the free shipping.

Saw that one coming. As the average buyers shift from fixed locations to internet locations the sales tax issue becomes greater and greater. It was only a matter of time. emoBooHoo Jmax

Darn good point.

Frankly, I'm surprised it's taken this long. There was no way states were gonna miss out on this revenue source. Cities and counties are prob next. I think the convenience of on-line shopping and to-your-door delivery will still keep folks choosing those outlets over stores.

Most think it will help the small mom and pop places but in reality.. a lot of those have went to selling merchandise online to compete. Big retailers will be the ones coming out smiling.

Because you have to pay sales tax?
Yep. I always pay the extra $10.00 for next day shipping as I'm not waiting five business days for free shipping. Now with the 9.0+ sales tax I might as well buy local due to the item price + shipping + sales tax.

Even if TW was still actually cheaper, it would be miniscule at best and not ever worth the time to make the call. I guess I'll be bugging Johnny more the usual from now on.

I usually plan ahead to avoid paying shipping and the other issue I have is most local stores don't have what I want, between Tackle Warehouse, Land Big Fish and Tackle Freaks I can find anything I am looking for.
