Sandy River Reservoir VA 8/4/06 Bass

I was home for a long weekend and got to go fishing with my buddy Jason from highschool. We got up to Sandy about 5:45 I caught 3 dinks on a buzzbait and he caught a couple of fish on a Sammy. Also he caught a couple of not quite legal bass on a shakey head jig. The thing that got me is the 14"-20" slot limit they had he said he had fished some friendly little tourneys and had to throw back 5 lb fish cause they were 19". Anyways about 12:30 or so I pointed out some Rip Rap along the dam that I wanted to fish and we both caught a few bigger fish there. He had a 2 lber and one that would go a pound and a half again on a shakey head jig. and I had a 2lber on a frenzy firetiger crankbait and a chain pickerel that was about 18" I hooked the Pickerel in the tail so I thought I'd really hooked into a solid bass. I know its not in Tennessee but I thought you guys would like to know about some fishing in other states.

Looks as if you all had a good time... and that is the most important thing about fishing..... the fish in the tail???? I bet you really thought you had the prize...LOLemoGeezer
