It's CRAPPIE TIME in Tennessee. The fishing is great and so's the weather. It's good to be alive and be in the great outdoors.

We launched before daylight this morning from WT, very anxious to get some more slabs for the freezer after a great day with the Drum King yesterday. Man, that ole boy can "catchem" and he's a pleasure to fish with too. I do believe he should write a book on catching crappie.

Saw the Drumking and he got his limit before I did.

I fished with an old friend that hasn't fished very much and was somewhat out of practice but he did catch a few. Told me his line had been on the reel since 1984.
We managed to boat approx 40-45 fish with 21 keeper size crappie, 2 keeper blue gills, a 10.5" yellow perch too. As usual I forgot my camera so no pictures today. Fishing started out hot and heavy about daylight using pink tubes or panfish assassins, actually changed to blue, chartruse/black, red/white, blue/white and just plain chartruce, the color didn't seem to make lots of difference. Fish were found in 2 to 6 ft of water scattered about. We left about 12:30.

Way to go, Gator! emoThumbsup You're not too bad catching those Crappie either. I had such a great day with you yesterday and I want to thank you again for asking me to go when I was having some awful withdrawal symptons with my boat in the shop. But I got it out in the afternoon and she ran great today. It is amazing what good gas will do for an engine instead of that watered down stuff.

I don't know about writing a book about crappie fishing or not. The only thing that I write are what I call inspirations. Little 1 or 2 page revelations that the Lord drops into my spirit from time to time. I have them on a website.
