I was just wondering if any one knows of a pay hunt or a WMA that was not shot on opening day for saturday or monday. Somewhere between Knoxville and Chattanooga. We had a good shoot yesterday and would like to find another one.</p>
We hunted Robert Snake Watson TWRA lease field and was one of the better hunts in the last couple of years.Plenty of birds and they flew all day, overcast sky most of the day and a little cool breeze all day. </p>
Game wardens were taking a count of the birds killed. They were at 500+ when I left about 6:30. There were still about 40-50 still shooting when I left.</p>
I stopped at a field along the way to my house and talked to several of the TWRA guys. At 5:00 on monday afternoon there wasnt hardly a bird in the field. They seemed to think the cool air may have pushed some birds into the area. I would have to agree ...I`ve been birddoggin the fields for a couple of weeks and really haven`t seen that many birds. They had a count of 200 at the field that didn`t have a half dozen when I drove thru it on Monday.</p>
Anyway If anybody knows of any fields that still have birds let me know. I`m gonna check these fields again but it would be nice to get in a Virgin Field !</p>
