Just thought I would pass along this one. When we were putting in Fri morning, TWRA was at the ramp. He was releasing 300,000 saugers. He told us they were around 1/4 '' long. He guesstimated that the survivors would be catchable keeper length in 2 years. Just on a hope I asked if stripers were in the future stockings but he did not know.emoThumbsup

I can answer that one for you, Steve. As long as they allow gill netting in Nick and the Chick, the TWRA will not waste resources by stocking stripers in these lakes. The last time that Chick and Nick were stocked was 1979 according to an email that I got from TWRA a few weeks ago in answer to that very question.

The stripers that are in these 2 lakes have migrated through the locks from Watts Bar. I was told in that email that TWRA stocked 600,000 stripers in Watts Bar last year.
