I have just found out about a sauger tournament that is held yearly below pickwick dam in Savannah Tn. There is an $80.00 entry fee for a two man team, the pay out is $5000.00 total.

Time and date: Saturday Feb. 2nd., 6:30 am untill 3:00 PM

$1000.00 first place

$1000.00 big fish

$700.00 second place

$500.00 third place

The placement goes on down untill the total of $5000.00 is paid out.

Call Jon Hardin for all the details, phone: 731-925-0693

I know this is on short notice for the people around here but it might give you a chance to find out about the sauger fishing in the Tn. river. They catch tons of the sauger below pickwick every year and pickwick is noted as the sauger capitol of the USA. Some on here might just want to go there and catch a boat load sometime and not enter the contest. Jon can line you up with lodging and also line you up with a guide if you wanted one. This is all the information I have on this contest at this time.
