Several CFFers hit Wilson Lake today for the Southern Catfisherman Association's Wilson Lake Tournament.

Minner and I struggled again, as we have been for the last few months. I guess our old school patterns just aren't yielding the fruit they have in past years. We fished deep, shallow, flats, old locks, ledges, humps... only one fish around 7-10 lbs. We didn't even bother to weigh in. We are going to start really fishing hard again next week, trying to get back on them!

Congrats to Engatty (Steve Ball) who finished 1st with 5 fish 195 lbs!!! They came from Wheeler, we got to learn that lower end!

2nd went to SouthernCats (Mike) who had around 65 lbs or so... I'm not sure where Mike fished, I think Wheeler.

Wish Allen and I were on Wheeler Fish, but its just been tough for us...

Gotta find them!!!

Sure is Richard! He had a fat one weighing 68 lbs, I wrestled it out of the livewell for him, and my hand is shredded :) Wish it was mine :)

... to make matters worst Steve had an even larger one that would have put him at about 215 but mistakingly grabbed the wrong fish out of the well.

congrats Steve

Sounds like Engatty found him a "nuke plant"
Don't get discouraged guys, to quote my hero,EricM, "persistance is the key"
Think about the times you did well and get back to the basics.

My dad and step brother are coming down for the first time next weekend to go out with Mike on Wheeler. I sure hope they turn on for them. They've got to snap sometime down there soon.

You guys have proved you've got the techniques for big fish. Only a matter of time before it clicks again.
