Anybody got any cool ideas for a 9th grade science fair project?

How about a replica of Watts Bar dam. Maybe you could have some Eric's or Erik's smashed up against the dam face.

I bet they have some souvenir rods they could donate ....including an ugly stick without line guides, and probably some scrapes... may even have some of the dam garage doors etched into them emoPoke emoParty emoBigsmile

Gonna need fiberglass too! My brother and I did a dam once. Even generated electricity. Pretty cool...but I bet alot of people do that project.

Hey, little fisherman, what I'd do is a fishing project. I did one in the 8th grade... You just gotta be creative.
BTW, what school do you go to?

Ocoee Middle; I think I have decided on doing a project on water quality in some trout rivers in our area based on bug populations. You know like using a seine and knocking loose stuff upstream, it drifts down and gets caught in the net. Then, you take a count on the different bugs, and since only certain kinds of bugs can live in certain water qualities, you can roughly determine a streams quality. Plus, it's an excellent excuse to try out the fly rod.
