what is the difference between a air gun scope and a plane rifle scope and how can I tell witch I have I bought it at trade day for 10 bucks I think it is a air gun but don't know thanks

the scope is made by tasco I have had it on a muzzle loader and it has stayed set for years but I was told it came on a rws pellet rifle but don't know it adjusts on both ends but is small kinda like a 4x32 will a real rifle scope stay set on a air gun I was told the air gun would break a real gun scope

It's probably meant for a pellet riffle or rim fire. If it's held zero then run with it and not worry about it,

This is partially correct. An air gun has reverse recoil, that's why most rifle scopes will not hold up on an air rifle. Any quality air rifle scope will work on a centerfire rifle, but the parallax is factory set on a dedicated air gun scope, its usually just 25 or 50 yards for obvious reasons. It sounds like your fine with the setup you have there on your muzzleloader.

the reason I ask is the tasco 4x32 I have on my rws25cal air rifle is not holding o like I want so I was going to change them around but don't know if the one on the ml is an air gun or not hate to buy one just for an air gun but may have to thanks guys
