Went down to wheeler lake for the first time to try for some catfish. We went to several places on the first day and most had big fish on them but just couldn't get them to bite had a cold front moving in. Got several bites the first day but no takers it was really windy and big waves all day long. The catfish king Ty told me about a place that was close to where we had fished the day before that I wanted to try. Had a late start for the last day but it turned out to be a good day. After a long boat ride up to the spot we fished for a couple hours marking several good fish but just a couple nibblers. Finally had one pull Chris's pole down all the way to the water. After a nice battle I get it in the boat and it's her new PB at 52 LB's. I get it back in the water after we take pictures and one of my poles is bent down. Had a good fight it was 25 LB I think. Baited her pole and she just dropped it down and another cat takes it back down in the water again. She had another good fight with the fish and it was PB number 2 for her at 56LB's. Stayed a couple more hours and never had another bite lol.
