I have a 1984 90hp Evinrude pushing a 21ft old tva work boat was curious if it would be ok to use Seafoam to help protect the motor as it runs like a top right now and would love to keep it that way. Any insight is greatly appreciated as I am a greenhorn when it comes to boats and motors

thanks in advance

You can get it at Advance auto by the gallon and it makes a little cheaper. The last time i bought it i figured it and if you buy a gallon you get like 5 of the little cans for the price of four or something like that. Just keep a little can to judge how much your using. I love the stuff i put it everything i own that uses gas.

I found Wal-Mart about a buck cheaper by the small can. I've started using it in my 1984 150 merc and it seems to help.

The seafoam seems to help with the carbon on my Yamaha. Occasionally, I get a cloud of smoke that I attribute to the carbon getting burned off.
