I ordered a large spool of 20 lb Invisx based solely on all of the reviews I had read on other sites and past experience with their carbon pro flourocarbon. To say the least I was very impressed. The line is very strong, resists abrasions well, remains strong when abraded, and casts better than any flouro I have tried. The problem with flourocarbon is the stiffness you usually get. The Invisx is not very stiff. It is not as limp as Sufix siege mono but compared to other flourocarbon lines it is very nice. I have yet to try sunline which also gets rave reviews but for the price they want it will basically have to catch the fish for me for me to be interested. If the Invisx isn't good enough for you then nothing will be! For some reason I also felt like I could detect strikes better this weekend with this line than other flourocarbons. I cant explain that part but I liked it.

I've heard good things about that line. I recently got several spools of Sunline (Machinegun, Bass Special II, and some other one), it is totally awesome. I've never had line this good, I got it from ebay so it wasn't too pricey. I'll be doing a big switch on all my reels soon. The Machinegun cast that I have is 20lb and about the same diameter as Stren 10-12lb.

How much does that line run? I've sworn off the Berkley Transition line forever. I've lost too many fish on that 12lb. stuff and fish that I saw that there is no way that stuff should have broken. I retie very frequently and check my line even more frequently so I couldn't attribute that to the breaks. Anyway, I'll get off my soapbox about that. I've been looking for another flouro and I've tried the 8lb. Seaguar for spinning applications but am looking for some to put on a couple of baitcasters and I'm always looking for a bargain.

Hey beetlespin, how would you rate the Invisx against P-Line flouro? I tried the Invisx and honestly could not find any major differences between the two. I actually have spool of 20lb Invisx to try out on my flipping stick, but the P-Line seems to last forever and I've yet to respool.

J-Dub, I am with you on the Berkley Transition. That is about the worst line I have ever purchased. I bought some Supreme and some SilverThread the other day and am happy with them. Berkley 20lb BigGame is great for the G.

Jason,

The p-line is definetely my second choice and a very close second. The only difference I see is the Invisx seems to be a little more supple. As for vanish and transition, those are what I used first on flouro and they are awful. I need more time with the Invisx to get some measure of durability but all i have seen so far is good.

Beetlespin, when you have had the chance to really test it out, I would appreciate a follow-up. The unbiased opinion of a fellow fisherman is far more valuable to me than an ad in Bassmaster.

Seaguar Invizx & P-Line Flourocarbon

Have used both products in 8#-20# on Shimano 4000 series spinning and 200 series bait casters. Either line is an excellent choice. I do feel that the Invizx is a little more supple than the P-Line - or Seaguar Carbon Pro - and MAY be a little more managable on spinning. I am currently using 10# Invizx on spinning. I'll use either one on casting gear. I use backing on my reels and spool up the amount of fluoro to match the application. Whichever one you choose, tie a good palomar and go fishing. Enjoy the benefits!
