Secret Hole #1 report 4/19/06 chick (with special guest!)

Me and Why went to SH1 last night from about 8:30 to 11:30. We also invited a special guest with us. Could it have been TT? Read on. We did spot a couple of GIRLS around the area. Probably spies. I've come to accept the fact that will happen often. Anyway, back to the report and special guest. Why and myself have actually been to the secret hole a time or two without reporting it. The fishing had been terrible. We thought the bass had moved out. So, we did not want to invite TT over there with the possibility of not catching anything so we had to have a "scouting" trip. We invited a special guest to simulate what we would do when we invite TT. We showed the special guest around the area and told him where to cast and what to use and I must say

IT WORKED LIKE A CHARM.

Final total - 35 bass (mixed spot and largemouth) with 6 keepers. Our special guest, who happens to be a forum member by the name of Drum Master (he doesn't post, yet) caught his fair share of them.

Me and Why feel confident now that we can do the same with TT. Oh, and I stuck with the corn dog, but Why used a finesse worm and did REAL WELL. I don't know what color he was throwing.

I sort of thought that if they were one or two of our BIGGEST FANS they may actually say something, but I guess not.

I don't know who they were but it was dang suspicious. They watched us for a while then walked by and got in the car and left (that's what girls usually do after having ample time to really observe me and WHEN). Anyway, it was a good practice run for when TT goes with us and we feel better about it now.

Now to the serious part: I'm so full of bull, every now and then I need to throw something out that might actually help someone. The lured (that aint a typo, thats the way I pronounce it) of choice for me last night was a "spot sticker" head with a green/cottoncandy 6 inch finesse worm. I started using this thing back in the winter months with mucho success and though the corndog is my usual choice, thought I would try it last night and it worked nicely. The old reliable corndog caught its fair share too though.

Glad your fish hadn't abandoned you guys. Gald you had a good time ... glad you are keeping the corn dog industry in the money ... and NO neither of those gals were me.

I guess it was wishful thinking on our part. Hey Why, those GURLS really weren't looking at us after all. Huh, imagine that!!

I wonder if we could get old Drum Master to reply? He could give us his perspective on the night.

Oh, I threw brown and black corn dogs. No mustard or ketchup last night. I did throw a Senko briefly with no success.

It is good for about 3 days AFTER we finally ask you to come!!

Seriously, it is usually good through May. It may be good after that, but like Why said in another post we abandon it when secret hole #2 gets hot.

When .. don't make me wait so long that by the time you take me there you blame my fishing inexperience on not catching any bass and bass'nettes!!!

It is actually Drum Master. Maybe he thought he was dreaming the other night. We may have to invite him one more time before we invite TT.

When & Why, Bet you aintfishin' that secret hole tonight cause it is rainin' cats and dogs here in Soddy....... has been all Friday afternoon and here is was ready to go and catch a bucket full o' bream for dinner..... How bout me and TT coming to join you tomorrow when the rain is suppose to stop... course they always bite right around dark...so see ya' around 7'ish??????
