Sequoya Late Evening Fishing

Fished the banks near the power lines and my partner caught good fish. The fish Gods were not with me- got skunked. He was useing a carolina rig w/ approx. 3' leader and a 1/4oz weight and a fenese worm. They were not holding tight to the bank. Most were caught in approx. 10' of water.

I was trying spinner bait and Texas style rig without any luck.

We were fishing that bank from about 8:30pm to 9:30pm.

Two weeks ago fished the same bank and caught several which were holding very tight to the bank on texas style and carolina rig.

Fished all around slough by Camp Colombus, neither of us did any good. Saw lots of top water action, but couldn't get a thing to bight- tried spinnerbaits and crankbaits.

Thanks for the update G-MAN! Have you ever tried the docks across the river between skull island and the ski club? That used to be where I fished as a kid. Bass used to stack up and feed where a feeder creek meets a hump at the end of our old dock - especially if the lights were on. Last time I tried was in a small tournament about 8-10 years ago and the bass were definitly not there. I am just wondering if that same area holds anything at night now.
