Started out the CFF tourney in the shallows working weedlines with worms and topwater. Chris on his second cast lets one get away and we struggle to find fish for a while. We move up to some lighted docks and we put the first keeper in the boat, a whopping 1.8#...it was a start at least. Miss a couple and boat another small one before I finally hook up with a good one. I tell Chris get the net because its heavy....fish runs deep and wraps around the motor prop at this time im almost in tears...I wish someone could have been there with a camera, because all I remember was jumping up and down telling him its in the motor...its in the motor. He raises the motor and im just hoping the fish is on...lucky me it was I finally get it close enough to net and we think its at least 4.5#, weighed it up and just teetering on 5#, its still early so we have some confidence. I check my line because of the motor hang up and it feels fine(I was wrong). We move to the next dock and I hook up with another good one...it surfaces about 15 feet from the boat and snap...line in my face..not good. I wasnt thinking when I checked my line, I checked about 2 ft above the hook, when in reality it was in the motor about 10ft from the hook. Oh well live and learn. Caught a few more little ones, couldnt find any fish once we got off the docks. Chris later on hooks up with a good fish and yells for the net, it wont surface, so im wondering....I get the net and look down...about a 4-5lb drum. DANG IT! Finish up close to CFP nothing else to account for. Finished with second big fish 4.92 lbs. We will eventually money in one of these CFF tourneys, I can feel it.

Started out working the docks again, second cast hook up with a solid 4lber but cant get him to the boat, but his riverdance was b e a utiful. Stayed on the dock for about an hour came away with 5 with 3 skinny keepers. Moved to some more docks and caught a few more before the trolling motor went dead. All fish were caught on wacky rigged 5" senkos. Sorry no pics, they are on my phone but I cant email them anymore from my new hand me down phone. Unfortunately my Blackberry is over in the islands close to HBSP. If anyone snags a blackberry let me know, curious to see if it still works.
