I just got some shakey heads the other day with the wormholder(spring) on them. I was trying to rig a strike king finesse worm on there but I can't seem to get the thing "screwed" down on the spring. I must be doing something totally wrong! Help a brother out.

It's just push and twist, but it can sometimes be tricky depending upon the worm.

On worms with a pointy nose, I'll bite off the tip...easier with a flat surface to start the screw into.

These are the 3X kind I believe...really soft and elastic. I can't even get the dadgum thing started to screw down. Maybe I just need to try a different worm. I feel like an idiot!

Easy move, penetrate the worm with the hook point and then they will screw on easily....works best with 3X

Good suggestion, Carl. Simple solution I never thought about.emoScratch

You can also try and snip about a 1/4 inch off the head of the worm. This way you a fatter peice to work with. This is providing the worm does come to a taper on the head. I normally use the Zoom finesse worms for this and cut them the same way.

Yea the 3X worms are the best but the hardest to screw on like that ive had the same problem.Just do what everyone else is sayin & cut the head off & poke it w/ the hook.Dont mean to hijack but do you or anyone else know of anywhere they sell the 3X worms other than BPS i cant find them.Dick's has the Shaw's Series but they arent as good.

Thanks for the advice. I'll try these tips. And the only place I've seen the 3X is at BPS. They may have them at Sportsman's Warehouse.
